The Falmouth Commodores lose 3-1 against the YD Red Sox

Despite a strong appearance by starter Brady Singer, the Commodores  fell to the YD Red Sox.  The Commodores were the first to get on the board with a one-run third inning. With two outs, Trevor Larnach (Oregon S) hit a solo shot to deep right that cleared the fence.

The Red Sox tied the game in the seventh. Mikey Diekroeger (Stanford U) singled into center, past the diving glove of Cadyn Grenier (Oregon S), to drive in Will Toffey (Vanderbilt U),  who bunted to get on base.

The Sox took the 3-1 lead in the ninth. Toffey doubled to deep center left, bringing home Deon Stafford Jr. (St. Joseph U), from second base. Matthew Whatley (Oral Roberts U) hit a sacrifice fly to left field, bringing home Brendan Skidmore (Binghamton U), who tagged up on third base.

Bryan Pall (U of Michigan) got the win for the Red Sox while Stephen Villines (U of Kansas) was charged with the loss.

The Commodores are on the road tomorrow against the Kettleers. First pitch in Cotuit is at 5pm!
