On one of the hottest nights of the summer, the Commodores (18-12) were able to pull out a 7-3 victory, over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (13-17).
The Commodores quickly fell behind 2-0 in the first inning. With the bases loaded, Cody Henry (Alabama) hit a two RBI single up the middle, which deflected off the sliding Dylan Busby (Florida State).
The Commodores got on the board in the third inning. Josh Watson (TCU) got the first RBI of the night for the Commodores, driving home Michael Gigiliotti (Lipscomb) with a deep ball that rattled up against the left field fence. Willie Burger (Penn State) hit a two-run shot to deep center, to give the Commodores the 3-2 lead.
The Harbor Hawks were quick to respond, tying the game at 3-3. Kameron Esthay (Baylor) grounded out to the second baseman, Tristan Gray (Rice U), but Cody Henry came in from third.

The game remained tied through the top of the eighth. Watson got the rally going for the Commodores hitting a solo shot to center. Cadyn Grenier (Oregon State) singled up the third baseline driving in Tyler Lawrence (Murray State), who tripled to left. Michael Cantu (U of Texas) hit his first home run of the summer, a two-run shot, solidifying the Commodores’ lead.
Although starter Brady Singer pitched five strong innings, it was reliever Turner Larkins (Texas A&M) who was credited with the win for Falmouth. Matthew Naylor (U of Northern Florida) got the loss.
