Stanford rising junior Kyle Stowers earned the Falmouth Commodores first weekly Cape Cod Baseball League award, securing the Coca Cola Player of the Week honor for the fourth week of the season, as announced by the league’s office on Tuesday.
The Stanford rising junior is on an incredible tear, racking up multi-hit efforts in his last five contests and in eight of nine games. Stowers raised his batting average from .194 on June 27 to .352 on July 10, sporting the third best mark in the Cape League this season.
“”I’m just finally starting to feel relaxed at the plate,” Stowers said of his recent performance. “Just keeping it simple.”

The Commodores (11-11-1) have won 10 of 13 games with Stowers stabilizing the middle of the order.
